Treatment acne with Isolaz

Treatment acne with Isolaz

In ABH Medical Group we use the isolaz anti acne treatment. Isolaz anti acne is a pioneering method as it is the only “photopneumatic treatment” that combines skin suction with broadband light application (480- 1250 nm). This way we achieve, on the one hand, the energy of suction, that removes sebum from the pores, and, on the other hand, the broadband light that increases the production of purpurins which are photosensitive enzymes.

These enzymes are the enemy of propionibacterium acnes. Treatment is painless and local anaesthesia is not necessary. It is very effective from the very first session and absolutely safe. The number of sessions varies from 4 – 6 depending on the severity of each case, as the treatment can be applied on all types of acne, from mild comedone acne to cystic acne. You might develop redness and mild oedema around the targeted area after treatment, but this will subside after approximately 24 hours.

Frequent Questions

Acne is a condition of the skin and sebaceous gland. It develops in the form of zits and can develop further leaving scars and marks on the face if not treated well.

Acne affects boys and girls during puberty but can also affect individuals over the age of 30 (adult acne).

Hair, sebum and keratinocytes are accumulated on the emissary duct of the follicle, obstructing it and blocking the flow of sebum to the skin’s surface. This results in redness and infections.

No, not all cases are the same. The main bacteria accused for acne are the propionic bacteria, which increase in number inside the hair follicle and raises the production of fatty acids that irritate the skin. The teenagers’ acne is called acne vulgaris. It can be non-inflammatory (no swelling and redness) or inflammatory (with redness and swelling).

There are different forms:

  • Mild acne appears as open or closed comedones (white or black zits) and is non-inflammatory.

  • Moderate acne includes the above symptoms as well as zits of increased redness called papules or red zits with white head, called pustules (zits with pus).

  • Papules may not be inflammatory but blisters are.

  • Severe acne is characterised by nodules, which are inflammatory, large and painful lumps underneath the skin (cysts). These create scars. If you have developed the above symptoms you are advised to visit our clinic as soon as possible. With the right treatment scars can be effectively reduced.

Regardless of the patient’s age, acne is caused by hormonal disorder. However, other factors such as heredity (parents’ oily skin) or use of bad or inappropriate cosmetics, medication and personal hygiene are also of great significance.
